The Late Iron Age Snettisham hoards come from Snettisham in Norfolk , England . The first three hoards (A – C) were discovered in 1948 while plowing a lavender field and examined by Rainbird Clarke (born 1914) at the Norfolk Museum. In 1950 the aftercare centers D and E came to light while plowing. In 1989, Hort F (587 items) was discovered by a (legal) probe . The site was examined by the British Museum and hoards G – K were discovered. They mainly contained torques , but also other objects made of precious metal.

Comparable aftercare centers were found in Ipswich , Bawsey and Sedgeford .
