The Snick Pass is a narrow mountain pass between the Douglas Range and the LeMay Range in the center of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It leads from the Grotto Glacier in the east to the Purcell snow field in the west.
The British geographer Derek Searle from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey first mapped it in 1960 using aerial photographs of the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948). The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave it a descriptive name (from English snick 'notch' ) in 1961 .
