Snow drift

The Snow class was a series of universally applicable reefer ships . The ship type was built between 1972 and 1974 by the French shipyard La Ciotat for the Swedish Salén shipping company .

history

The Salén shipping company operated a large fleet of reefer vessels in the 1960s and 1970s and commissioned the La Ciotat shipyard with the development and construction of a series of eight fast and versatile reefer vessels. The name Snow class is derived from the term "Snow", with which all ship names began. The lead ship was the Snow Flower , which was commissioned in February 1972 . In March 1974 the series with the Snow Hill was completed.
