Miguel Iglesias Bonns

Miguel Iglesias Bonns (born June 6, 1915 in Barcelona ; † March 8, 2012 there ) was a Spanish film director .

Life

Iglesias began his career with short films and made his feature film debut in 1942, Su excelencia el mayordomo . By 1988 he had made almost forty films of all possible genres. Iglesias had the skills to adapt to the market and serve popular film genres. In the 1950s, he shot melodramas, later adventure films, and was able to deliver the commercially sought-after material with fantasy films and thrillers , from horror films to erotic films (mostly known as MI Bonns ). He achieved cult status through the Paul Naschy film La maldición de la bestia and his three jungle films Tarzán y el misterio de la jungla , La diosa salvaje and Kilma, reina de las amazonas from 1973 to 1975.
