The film focuses on winter sports activities in the Rocky Mountains . Some of the major ski resorts are Aspen , Vail, and Keystone in Colorado . About an hour from Vail is the old gold rush town of Breckenridge with its Victorian-style houses. The small town is framed by four mighty peaks, the area of which offers winter sports enthusiasts particularly beautiful slopes.

Thomas Mead was in 1949 with the film for an Oscar in the category "Best Short Film" (2 rolls of film) nominated, but had to Walt Disney and his film The Robben Island (Seal Iceland) to defer them.
