SoVD-Zeitung - Social at a Glance is the monthly membership newspaper of the Social Association Germany . It is in direct order of the previous journals Sozialverband Reichsbund (August 1998 to May 2000), Sozialverband Reichsbund: newspaper of war and military victims, disabled people, social pensioners and surviving dependents (1997 to September 1998), Reichsbund: newspaper of war and military service victims, disabled people , Social pensioners and surviving dependents (2/1953 to 49/1996) and KB monthly sheet : Organ d. Association of war and civilly injured persons , social pensioners and survivors of Berlin (1/1951 to 3/1953).

Topics and target group

The association newspaper "SoVD - Social Media in Sight" is non-partisan. According to the statutes, it is responsible for "informing and educating about association activities and developments in social law". In terms of content, the SoVD newspaper deals with current reporting on the overarching topics of social policy and health as well as news from the association and the regional associations. There are also the items “entertainment” and “miscellaneous”.

In the federal section, reports are mainly on the social policy topics of pensions, health and care, poverty and wealth, labor market policy, equality and inclusion. The newspaper also includes an extensive entertainment and service section as well as twelve different country supplements.

The SoVD magazine has also been published online since 2013 and has also been produced as a mobile app since 2016.

According to media data, the readership is mainly composed of seniors , the chronically ill, those in need of care and the disabled . The average age is 60 years, the gender split is largely balanced (approx. 52% women).

The newspaper appears monthly, except for a double issue in July / August. The IVW -checked sold circulation is 415,777 copies.
