Sobiesław Zasada (born January 27, 1930 in Dąbrowa Górnicza ) is a former Polish racing driver and successful businessman.

Originally a track and field athlete, the business graduate of the Kraków Commercial College (1952) was a well-known rally athlete in the 1960s . In 1966, 1967 and 1971 he won the European title, in 1968, 1969 and 1972 he was vice European champion. He was Polish champion eleven times. He won a total of 148 car rallies. In 1967 he was voted Poland's Sportsman of the Year . Initially, Zasada steered products from the Steyr-Puch company (3 years), followed by Porsche (5 years) and BMW (2 years). At the end of his career he switched to Mercedes-Benz . From 1991 to 1996 he was the general representative of the Daimler-Benz group in Poland. In 1993 he started building his own group of companies that manufactured racing cars. Today Zasada, who is married and has a daughter, is ranked 38th on the list of the hundred richest men in Poland , according to statistics from Wprost magazine, with an estimated fortune of around 405 million złoty .
