Sobrado is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Sobrado belongs to the Valongo County in the Porto District . The community had an area of 21.3 km² and 6,726 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). The place was raised on April 19, 2001 to Vila (German small town ).
On September 29, 2013, the communities of Sobrado and Campo were merged to form the new community União das Freguesias de Campo e Sobrado .
