The Société des compteurs de Genève ( SODECO ) was a Swiss company that produced electricity meters .

history

SODECO was created in 1928 from the merger of the Chasseral companies in Saint-Imier and the electricity meter division of Société Genevoise d'Instruments de Physique . It was part of Landis + Gyr from the start , had its headquarters in rue du Grand-Pré in Geneva and initially had 150 employees. After the Second World War , the company also produced telephone billing meters and pulse meters . In the 1960s the company had more than 1,000 employees.
