Sojitz was created in 2004 through the merger of the Japanese companies Nisshō Iwai KK ( 日商 岩 井 株式会社 ) and Nichimen KK ( ニ チ メ ン 株式会社 ). The group of companies achieved consolidated sales of 4105 billion yen in the 2014/2015 financial year.
