Sol de Mañana (German: the morning sun) is an approximately two square kilometer geothermal area in the Potosí Department , Bolivia . It is located southwest of the Laguna Colorada on the way towards Salar de Chalviri at an altitude of 4850 meters above sea level. Like the geysers of El Tatio, it belongs to the Altiplano-Puna volcanic region.

Sol de Mañana is characterized by intense geothermal activity with geysers , boiling mud holes and fumaroles .
