The Senftenberg solar complex is a solar complex inaugurated on September 24, 2011 near Senftenberg and Schipkau in Brandenburg. The solar complex, consisting of the Schipkau solar park (72 MWp ) and the Senftenberg I (18 MWp), II and III (78 MWp) solar parks, was built on the dump of the former Meuro lignite mine .
The solar park consists of 636,000 solar modules. At the time of commissioning, the solar parks were the largest solar complex in Germany. The tilt area on which the solar park is located covers a total area of over 1000 hectares.
