The Spremberg solar park is a solar park in the east of the city of Spremberg in the state of Brandenburg .

Location

The solar park, with a size of 19  hectares , was built on an area that was used by the military until June 18, 1992. All existing buildings, which up to then belonged to the 14th Panzer Regiment of the 7th Panzer Division of the NVA and later to the Bundeswehr , were dismantled in the following years, except for the outer boundary walls.

construction

In June 2010, the company "thermovolt AG" from Rostock started building the 24,000 silicon modules. Crystalline modules from Moser Baer were installed . The system, with a total investment volume of 16 million euros, was designed and planned by Q-Cells SE. The investor in the system is HEP-Kapital GmbH from Heilbronn .

According to the first press reports from January 2008, the company "Daedalus Bioenergie GmbH", a subsidiary of "Peitzer Daedalus Consult & Engineering GmbH" founded especially for this purpose, was supposed to build and operate the solar system.

On August 6, 2010, the solar park in Forster Landstrasse was put into operation.

power

The plant has an output of 5.3  MW p . This would theoretically make it possible to supply 1900 average households with electrical energy.
