Konrad Ortmann

Konrad Ortmann (born January 1, 1867 in Magdeburg , † October 24, 1941 in Torgau ) was a high school professor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Ortmann attended elementary school and high school in Schleusingen and the universities of Jena and Halle . In 1889 he passed the exam pro lic. conc., the senior teacher examination in 1893, in 1894 he became Dr. phil. and senior teacher for German, Latin, French and sports at the grammar school in Torgau , OStD from 1932. He was also first lieutenant Landwehr I and holder of the first class military service award . From 1900 he was a member of the municipal council, from 1901 city councilor and from 1906 head of the district warrior association in Torgau.

From 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Merseburg District 1 ( Liebenwerda , Torgau ) and the National Liberal Party .
