The Soldier's Leave Ordinance (SUV) regulates the granting of recreational and special leave for all soldiers in the Bundeswehr , i.e. for professional and temporary soldiers as well as for those doing basic and reserve services .

For recreational leave (first section of the SUV), the Recreational Leave Ordinance (EUrlV) for federal civil servants essentially applies .

For special leave (second section of the SUV) essentially the Special Leave Ordinance (SUrlV) for federal civil servants.
