Miika Lahti (born February 6, 1987 in Konnevesi ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with the EC VSV in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League .

Career

Miika Lahti started his career as a hockey player in 2005 with JYP Jyväskylä , for whom he had already played in his youth. In his rookie year , the attacker scored eight points in 43 games, including four goals. He was also used in three playoff games. In the following season Lahti was able to increase his balance to twelve points scorer, including six goals, in 44 games. After Lahti in the 2007/08 season regularly for JYP was on the ice, he came in the 2008-09 season, although only on one assist in 16 games in the SM-liiga and played most of the season in Mestis , the second highest Finnish league, but he became Finnish champion for the first time in his career with JYP Jyväskylä.

In 2012 he won another league title with JYP. In the following four seasons he was assistant captain of his team before he was loaned from his home club to Kunlun Red Star from the Continental Hockey League after more than 15 years of membership . In 2017 he returned to JYP.

In the 2019/20 season, Lahti was under contract with EC VSV in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga .

International

For Finland Lahti took part in the U18 Junior World Championships in 2004 and 2005 , as well as in the U20 Junior World Championship in 2007 .
