Solet annuere is a papal bull from Pope Honorius III. , on November 29, 1223 he confirmed the rules of the Franciscans with this bull .

Francis of Assisi , the founder of the Franciscan order, who had existed since 1209, had created the new rules together with his brother Leo, and other founders of the order were also involved in revising the text. After all parties involved had given their consent, the new rules were adopted by Pope Honorius III. submitted for approval. On November 29, 1223 Honorius III confirmed. the rule presented with this bull (bullied rule) and thus a new order was founded. After 1209 and 1221, this is the third and final rule, the so-called regula bullata , which is still valid today. In his confirmation bull, the Pope took over the entire text of the rules; the bull did not constitute a body of law, rather it was a spiritual exhortation to the Franciscans. The original of this letter is kept in the Sacro Convento in Assisi as a precious relic.
