The Solorina Valley is an elongated valley on the Ulu Peninsula in the northwest of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It lies northeast of a pass between the Lachman Crags and two previously unnamed hills west of Andreassen Point . It contains two freshwater pools in the upper section while the lower one widens to a 2 km wide plain.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1993 after the solorina spongiosa lichen found both here and on the shores of nearby Saint Martha Cove .
