The Ulu Peninsula is the part of the West Antarctic James Ross Island that is northwest of the isthmus between Röhss Bay and Croft Bay . The peninsula extends from Cape Obelisk to Cape Lachman .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave it a descriptive name in 1987, as it is reminiscent of the shape of an ulu , a knife traditionally used by Eskimos .
