Cape Lachman is the northern cape of James Ross Island south of the Trinity Peninsula in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It marks the western boundary of the entrance from the Prinz Gustav Canal to Herbert Sound between James Ross and Vega Islands .
Participants of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) discovered the cape. Expedition leader Otto Nordenskjöld named it after J. Lachman, a sponsor of the research trip.
