1972 Summer Paralympics / table tennis

At the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg , medals were awarded in a total of 19 table tennis competitions. As before at the Games in Tel Aviv in 1968 , singles and doubles competitions were held. For the first time, team competitions were also held at the Paralympics.

Classes

In the singles, the women and men played in classes 1A, 1B, 2, 3 and 4, in the team competition in classes 2, 3 and 4. In the women, a competition was held in doubles. For this purpose, classes 1A and 1B have been combined. The men played in doubles in classes 1A and 1B.
