Funding of "Children's Aid Lithuania"

The school has been sponsored by the German association “Kinderhilfe Litauen” eV in Schrobenhausen since 1994. There are annual package promotions. The association collects gifts and donations. Numerous German kindergartens and schools are now participating in this. There are pre-Christmas visits under the direction of Manfred Schwaak with gift delivery in Kaunas. The association members, one of them as Nikolaus , travel to Lithuania with the aid train (40-ton truck) for children's aid. The truck and trailer are fully loaded with clothes, linen, toys and groceries. There gifts are distributed to sick and orphaned children. In the children's home, the children's rooms were completely renovated with the help of the association.

The founders of the aid facility are Manfred Schwaak and his brother Gerhard, both of whom were expelled from East Prussia as children at the end of the war and taken in by strangers in Lithuania (see Wolfskinder ).
