Sonic Lost World ( jap. : ソニックロストワールド, Hepburn : Sonikku Rosuto Warudo ) is an action-adventure - Jump 'n' Run - video game , which by the Japanese development studio Sonic Team (the Nintendo 3DS version of Dimps ) and was published in October 2013 by Sega in Japan and North America and by Nintendo in Europe and Australia for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. A port for Windows was released in November 2015 .

Sonic Lost World was mostly not well received by the trade press. The German-language online magazine 4Players rated the Wii-U version of the game with 63 out of a possible 100 points and awarded the brand “satisfactory”. The Nintendo 3DS version was rated by 4Players with 59 points and labeled “Sufficient”. On the review website Metacritic , the Wii U version has a Metascore of 63, the Nintendo 3DS version a 59 and the Windows version 57.
