Sonja Ottenbacher (born September 17, 1960 ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From 2009 to 2013 she was a member of the Salzburg state parliament , and has been the mayor of Stuhlfelden since 2004 .

Life

Ottenbacher is a qualified psychiatric nurse and trained behavioral therapist and was employed at the Christian Doppler Clinic in Salzburg from 1978 to 1993 . She then opened a practice for psychotherapy in Mittersill and lives with her husband in Stuhlfelden . Ottenbacher is also a supervisor and speaker in adult education as well as a communication trainer.

Politically, Ottenbacher was initially involved in local politics. From 1999 to 2004 she was Vice Mayor of Stuhlfelden. In 2004 she took over the office of mayor, which she has held since then. She has also been a member of the Social Welfare Advisory Board in Pinzgau since 1999 and a member of the board and advisory board of the National Park Center Establishment and Management Company. In September 2004 she also took over the office of district manager of the ÖVP women in Pinzgau and was elected district chairwoman of the ÖVP Pinzgau in November 2005. Ottenbacher represented the ÖVP in the Salzburg state parliament from April 22, 2009 and took on the function of area spokeswoman for the topics of families, childcare and the national park.
