Sonomyn Udwal

Sonomyn Udwal ( Mongolian Сономын Удвал ; * February 21, 1921 , † 1991 ) was a Mongolian writer and politician .

Life

She attended the Institute for Oriental Studies in Leningrad in the Soviet Union and also graduated from the party college at the Central Committee of the CPSU . Sonomyn Udwal became president of the Mongolian Writers' Union and held the position until 1974. She was also the chairperson of the Mongolian Women’s Commission . In addition, she was a member of the Central Committee of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and was part of the Presidium of the Great People's Hural , the Mongolian Parliament.
