from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Soopafly (actually Priest Joseph Brooks ) is an American record producer and rapper from Long Beach , California .

Career

Soopafly began his career with the Death Row Records label , but has not yet played a role in their greatest successes. Instead, his first work appeared on albums in the late 1990s, such as Daz Dillinger's Revenge, Retaliation & Get Back, and Snoop Dogg's Dead Man Walkin . He also created the single for Martin Lawrence's film A Thin Line Between Love & Hate , I Don't Hang . However, he soon began to gain popularity by teaming up with more famous west coast rappers like Xzibit , Mack 10 & Snoop Dogg. So it came about that at the end of 2000 he also produced songs on commercially very successful albums such as Xzibits Restless ( Fuckin 'You Right & Rimz & Tirez ) and Snoop Doggs Tha Last Meal ( Loosin' Control ). As a result, he released two solo albums in 2001 and 2007, Dat Whoopty Woop & Bangin West Coast , each on Daz Dillinger's labels (DPG Recordz & Gangsta Advisory).
