Sophie Charlotte Albertine von Brandenburg-Bayreuth (* July 27, 1713 in Weferlingen , † March 2, 1747 in Ilmenau ) was a German noblewoman from the house of Hohenzollern and by marriage Duchess of Saxe-Weimar and Saxe-Eisenach .

Sophie Charlotte was born the fourth of five children of Georg Friedrich Karl , Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, and Dorothea of ​​Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck . In 1716 her mother was convicted of adultery and imprisoned.

On April 7, 1734, Sophie Carlotte married Ernst August I, Duke of Saxony-Weimar, as his second wife in Bayreuth . They had four children together:

On July 26, 1741, after her husband inherited the land, she also became Duchess of Saxony-Eisenach .

Sophie Charlotte died in Ilmenau and was buried there.
