Sophie Rieger

Sophie Rieger (born December 26, 1933 in Beuthen ) is a German architect , politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and former member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Rieger graduated from the Dürer secondary school in Nuremberg and later graduated from the Technical University of Munich with a degree in architecture . She then worked as a salaried employee in architectural offices in Toulon and at the Erlangen University Building Authority .

She has been working as a freelance architect since 1972.

From 1984 to 1990 Rieger was city councilor in Nuremberg, from 1990 to 1998 a member of the Bavarian State Parliament and secretary there.
