Sorica

Sorica (German Zarz ) is the name of two villages that today belong to the Slovenian municipality of Železniki :

• Zgornja Sorica (Oberzarz)
• Spodnja Sorica (Unterzarz)

Together with the nearby Deutschgereuth (Nemški Rovt, občina Bohinj ) and Deutschruth (Rut), the two villages formed a German language island until the beginning of the 20th century :
