Sorin A. Huss

Sorin Alexander Huss (born May 21, 1950 in Bucharest ) is a German engineer. He has been a professor in the Integrated Circuits and Systems department at the Technical University of Darmstadt since 1990 . His research area is the design methodology of embedded systems and crypto hardware.

Life

Huss studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich from 1970 to 1976 . There he worked as a research assistant from 1976 to 1982. In 1982 he received his doctorate with the dissertation on the interactive optimization of integrated circuits . From 1982 to 1990 he worked at AEG as a CAD / CAE manager in Ulm. In 1990 he was appointed university lecturer.

Since 2008 he has been a board member of the Center for Advanced Security Research Darmstadt (CASED). He heads the “Safe Things” work area. In 2010 the festival publication Design methodologies for secure embedded systems was dedicated to him.
