South Asian Gate is the name of a skyscraper that has been under construction in the Chinese city of Kunming since 2013 . It should be 268 meters high; it would be by far the tallest building in the city. Offices and a hotel are to be accommodated in the lower area, apartments and hotel rooms further up. Completion is planned for the end of 2016. [outdated] The design looks a bit similar to that of the One World Trade Center , but in contrast to it, it does not end with a spire, but with a flat roof and is significantly lower. Although the number of floors has not yet been published, the building should have a floor space of 530,000 square meters. In addition to office space, a hotel and apartments are also planned.
