The South Carolina Public Radio (SCPR) is the 1972 founded public broadcasting network of the US state South Carolina with headquarters in Columbia . SCPB is a member of National Public Radio . According to its own information, SCPR reaches over 327,000 listeners per week.
A network of nine VHF stations covers almost all of South Carolina plus parts of North Carolina . The network is operated by the South Carolina Educational Television Commission, an agency of the South Carolina government. South Carolina Educational Television is the television broadcast sister network. Linda O'Bryan is the CEO of both networks.
The programs are produced in the studios on George Rogers Boulevard in Columbia; Regional studios are operated in Spartanburg , Beaufort , Sumter and Rock Hill .
