South Wales Echo is a tabloid daily newspaper from Great Britain , which is published in Cardiff . The newspaper is distributed in Wales and neighboring parts of the country.

The newspaper first appeared in 1884 and was headquartered in Thomson House. The newspaper is operated by Media Wales Ltd. (Western Mail & Echo Ltd.), which in turn belongs to the Trinity Mirror Group. In 2008 the newspaper moved to its new headquarters on Six Park Street, directly across from the Millennium Stadium .

Two versions will be published: the News Extra for the morning sale and the City Final, which is sold in the afternoon. A weekend edition is also published, which is published on Saturdays.

Some well-known writers have written for the newspaper, including a. Ken Follett , Brian J. Ford, cartoonists Gren Jones, Sue Lawley and Michael Buerk.

Echo Extra

Echo Extra is a free weekly newspaper that has been published since 2009. It replaces the Cardiff Post and is distributed to 52,000 households primarily in the Cardiff suburbs of Whitchurch, Llandaff, Cyncoed and Rhiwbina.
