Soviet war cemeteries in the city of Flensburg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the independent city of Flensburg there is a Soviet war cemetery from the Second World War. These graves are very often on the very edge of a cemetery and are difficult to find. The graves law in Germany guarantees the inviolability of these graves. That is why they can sometimes be found as individual graves in otherwise cleared burial fields. The Federal Republic bears the costs of tending the grave . In Flensburg, the Soviet war cemeteries can be found in the Friedenshügel cemetery .
