In the district of Pinneberg there are nine places Russian and Soviet war graves of both world wars. These graves are very often on the very edge of a cemetery and are difficult to find. The graves law in Germany guarantees the inviolability of these graves. That is why they can sometimes be found as individual graves in otherwise cleared burial fields. The Federal Republic bears the costs of tending the grave .
