Russian and Soviet war cemeteries in the Plön district

In the Plön district there are Russian and Soviet war cemeteries from both world wars in 8 locations . These graves are very often on the very edge of a cemetery and are difficult to find. The graves law in Germany guarantees the inviolability of these graves. That is why they can sometimes be found as individual graves in otherwise cleared burial fields. The Federal Republic bears the costs of tending the grave .
