The Soyus-13 Rock ( Russian Скала Союз-13 Skala Soyuz 13 , German 'Soyuz-13-Felsen' ) is a 1270 m high nunatak in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Cook Mountains it rises 3 km southeast of Schoonmaker Ridge .
Soviet scientists named it after the Soyuz 13 spacecraft launched on December 18, 1973 . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated the Russian designation into English in 2000.
