history

After the club was founded in 1919, the club played in the upper leagues of the then regionally organized football departments. In 1926 the club's own sports field was built on the Kreuzberg . In 1951 they were promoted to the Landesliga Westfalen , which was the third highest division after the Oberliga West and the 2nd League West, founded in 1949 .

In 1959 they took part in the DFB Cup , but lost to Borussia Dortmund . After years at the district level, the longed-for promotion to the regional league was achieved in 1977, after having often narrowly missed it in previous years. In the following year, he was directly promoted to the Association League Westphalia. When the club faced financial ruin in the 1980s, it played for years in the lower classes until in 2008, after 30 years, it was promoted to the association league again.

In the 2011/12 season, the club now rose from the Westfalenliga 2 back to the state league. Two years later, the Olper runners-up, before being promoted again in 2015. Three years later it went back down to the national league.
