Gerd vom Bruch (born August 19, 1941 ) is a former German football player and coach and is now a player's agent .
Career
Vom Bruch, who worked as an office worker at Geisweider Stahlwerke, was a member of the VfL Klafeld-Geisweid 08 regional league team in the 1971/72 season . Before that, he played for Sportfreunde Siegen .
After the 1971/72 season, vom Bruch began his coaching career. First he coached SpVg Olpe from 1972 to 1976 , then followed a four-year engagement with SSV Dillenburg . In 1980 he took over the position of coach at Rot-Weiß Lüdenscheid for five years . He then trained Eintracht Haiger for one season . During the 1986/87 season he was the coach of Sportfreunde Siegen , then Wolf Werner's assistant at Borussia Mönchengladbach . As his successor he coached Borussia Mönchengladbach from November 22, 1989 to September 25, 1991 in the 1st Bundesliga . He then worked as a coach at Wuppertaler SV in the 1992/93 season and at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in 1998 , both in the 2nd Bundesliga . In between, Gerd vom Bruch trained Alemannia Aachen in the regional league from 1994 to 1996 .
Later he worked for the player's agent Norbert Pflippen until 2000 . He then worked in this branch for the Norwegian agency ISM until 2003. Since then he has been self-employed as a player consultant. Among others, the national goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen as well as Daniel Frahn , Marcell Jansen and Patrick Helmes are among his clients.
