Norbert Pflippen

Norbert Pflippen (born January 7, 1947 in Wegberg ; † August 6, 2011 in Düsseldorf ) was a German sports manager , in particular he worked as a player consultant and agent for Bundesliga players .

Life

Pflippen had been active as a sports manager, player consultant and agent since the early 1970s, and together with his wife Ans he set up the "ans sport" agency. His first client was Günter Netzer . Furthermore he supervised z. E.g. the German national players Lothar Matthäus , Berti Vogts , Oliver Kahn , Matthias Sammer , Stefan Effenberg , Sebastian Deisler , Lukas Podolski , Lars Ricken or David Odonkor . Outside of football, world boxing champion Henry Maske , show jumper Ludger Beerbaum and hockey player Britta Becker were among his clients.

He died on August 6, 2011 in the Düsseldorf University Clinic of complications from cancer .

Pflippen was buried on August 11, 2011 in Mönchengladbach.
