Space Expo in Noordwijk

The Space Expo Noordwijk is an exhibition on space travel and the visitor center of the European Space Agency (ESA) in Noordwijk (on the city limits of Katwijk ) in the Netherlands . There you can experience the simulated launch of an Ariane rocket . An original spherical Soviet landing capsule for manned space travel is also on display.

The Space Expo Noordwijk provides answers to questions such as:

  • What are the effects of gravity?
  • What is a black hole ?
  • What are the tasks of satellites?
  • Which space missions are currently being worked on?

The exhibition is located on the grounds of the European Space Research and Technology Center and was opened in 1990 by Queen Beatrix and Prince Johan Friso .
