The Spanley Rocks are a group of six rocky outcrops up to 955 m high in Queen Elizabeth Land in West Antarctica . They rise 16 km southwest of the Cordiner Peaks and mark the northern foothills of the Neptune Range in the Pensacola Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them based on their own surveys and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1956 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1968 after John A. Spanley Jr., cook of the winter team at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1965.
