The clamping ring is a closure that is used to close barrels .

The barrel lids are enclosed by means of a ring made of metal or plastic on the barrel. In addition, pipe connections can also be made with clamping rings.

In industrial production, the clamping ring fastener is usually made from split strip (SPB) and profiled, bent and cut on a bending machine . The cut edges are then manually reworked . The lever lock is usually attached using the spot welding process .
