The 14th Special Olympics World Summer Games in 2015 were held from July 25 to August 2, 2015 in California Los Angeles ( USA instead). Almost 6500 athletes from 165 countries took part. The Games were opened by Michelle Obama at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum ; Cassadee Pope , Stevie Wonder and Avril Lavigne performed at the opening ceremony .
