Cassadee Pope
Cassadee Pope (born August 28, 1989 in West Palm Beach , Florida ) is an American pop and country singer . She became known in 2012 as the third season winner of the talent show The Voice, as well as the singer in the band Hey Monday .
biography
Cassadee Pope is from Florida and started singing during high school. Then she founded the punk pop band Hey Monday together with guitarist Mike Gentile . The band made some publications and also had their first minor chart successes. In late 2011, however, Pope put the band on hold to try as a solo artist. A first solo EP reached number 25 on the Heatseeker charts in spring .
She then applied for the third edition of the casting show The Voice in autumn 2012 and was one of only four participants who found the interest of all four coaches at the blind auditions . She got through the individual rounds confidently and with her third live performance with the song Over You by Miranda Lambert she was so convincing that the song then came to number one in the iTunes charts. After that, every further show contribution from her reached the top 10 of these download charts. Four songs also made it into the official single charts . She reached the final on December 18, where she won against the competition and won.
Cassadee Pope had sung some country songs on the show, also because she was on country singer Blake Shelton's team . After the success of the show, she also signed with the country label Republic Nashville and prepared her first solo album. Frame by Frame was released in the fall of 2013 and reached number one on the US country charts. It reached number nine in the official sales charts .
In July 2015, the single I Am Invincible was released . In 2016 she accompanied Chris Young on the I'm Comin 'Over tour. On June 3rd, 2016 the single Summer and the Summer EP , which consists of four songs, were released.
Her second studio album stages was released on February 4, 2019 . The album contains eleven songs. The singles Take You Home , One More Red Light and If My Heart Had A Heart had been released in advance .
