Alisan Porter (born June 20, 1981 in Worcester , Massachusetts ) is an American actress and singer .

Life and accomplishments

Porter entered the Star Search singing competition at the age of five , after which she was discovered. Eight years later, her family moved to Connecticut . At the age of 18, Porter moved to New York City , where she sought a theater role and was hired for the musical Footloose .

Porter starred in several television series since 1987, in 1988 she appeared in the short film Homesick . In the comedy Eine Wahnsinnsfamilie (1989) she played on the side of Steve Martin and Dianne Wiest . For her appearance on the television series Golden Girls in 1991, she was nominated for the Young Artist Award in 1992 . She played the title role of Curly Sue in the comedy Curly Sue (1991) with James Belushi and Kelly Lynch . For this role she won the Young Artist Award in 1993.

Porter appeared in the musical film The Ten Commandments: The Musical (2006) on the side of Val Kilmer and Adam Lambert.

In 2009 Alisan Porter released her debut album of the same name.

On March 10, 2012, Porter married her childhood friend Brian Autenrieth. She gave birth to their son Mason Blaise in July of the same year and to their daughter Aria Sage in May 2014. In late 2017, the couple announced their split.

In 2016, Porter took part in the tenth season of the US version of The Voice and reached first place there.
