The Speedminton GmbH is a Berlin company that sports Cross Minton has developed from a Berlin invention and established. Today the company is the global market leader in the sport of crossminton. The basis of success is the match ball produced in Germany. The patented speeder is the official competition ball of the world association ICO (International Crossminton Organization). Speedminton GmbH now acts as a holding company and is represented by partners and licensees in more than 30 countries.
Renaming of the sport
Since the name of a sport cannot be identical to a brand name, the sport was initially called "Speed Badminton". After increasing criticism from badminton associations, among others, the name "Crossminton" was finally chosen and introduced in January 2016.
