Ulrich "Ulli" Jansen (born June 5, 1931 in Krefeld ; † July 19, 2006 there ) was a German ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

Ulli Jansen was one of the greatest idols in Krefeld ice hockey . In the 1951/52 season he was German champion with the KEV .

For the German national ice hockey team , he took part in 71 international games, including three appearances in the Olympic Games and four in world championships . At the ice hockey world championship in Stockholm in 1954 he was named the best German player.

In addition to the championship, the highlight of his career is likely to have been participation in the 1960 Olympic Games in Squaw Valley and the subsequent game trips by the German national team around the world with appearances in Japan, Hong Kong, Hawaii and Thailand. For his services in sport, he was honored with the admission into the Hockey Hall of Fame Germany .

As a master optician , he ran a specialist shop in Krefeld until his death and remained connected to the Krefeld ice hockey sport.
