Hülsa , consisting of Niederhülsa and Oberhülsa , is a district of Homberg (Efze) in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse .
Geographical location
Hülsa is located in the northern part of the Knüllgebirge at 465 m above sea level. NN , about 10 km south-southeast of the center of the Homberg town center. The village consists of the directly adjacent locations Niederhülsa and Oberhülsa. A pond in the west of Hülsa entfließt you to just west of the village running Rinnebach draining Bach, east rises the Ripper water as inflow of something running east Efze and northeast rises as the eastern Efze inflow of Lochbach with the direction Wallenstein located hole gorge . State road 3384 ( Steindorf –Hülsa– Hergetsfeld ) leads through it .
history
Hülsa was created on September 15, 1960 by merging the municipalities of Niederhülsa and Oberhülsa. In historical documents, the place is documented under the following place names (the year it was mentioned in brackets): de Hulse (1249) [Landau, Hessengau p. 163]; zcu Hulße (1477); zu Hulsße (1501); to Holse (1535); Hoelße (1559); Hell (1573); Hülsa (1575/85); before and in Holssen (1576); Sleeve (1611); Hils (1774).
Niederhülsa was first mentioned in a document in 1249. Oberhülsa was also mentioned for the first time in 1249. Hülsa has been a state-recognized health resort with a park and an exercise pool since 1974 . The place bears the title of a state-recognized family holiday resort .
On December 31, 1971, Hülsa was incorporated into the town of Homberg, Kassel district, today Homberg (Efze) .
