history

When Heinrich von Uttershausen (the elder) and his wife Berta received the large donation of goods to the Haina monastery in 1238, the goat grove fiefs of Count Gottfried III. from Reichenbach from Roppershain (Ruprechteshagen).

In developing the name, Ruprechtishayn was found in 1367, Rupershain in 1398, Ruppershayn in 1474 and Ruppershagen in 1547. From 1575 it stayed with Roppershain. Fiefs and jurisdiction changed constantly until the aristocratic courts were abolished in 1820.
